Wine needs a stable, humid environment and cabinetry does not, which is the whole problem. We build the enclosure in moisture-rated ply with a proper vapour strategy, then face it in the same timber as the rest of the room so it reads as joinery rather than as an appliance in a box. Display bays are lit from the front edge so the light rakes across the labels instead of flattening them.
