A commercial fit-out runs on a different clock to a residence. The floor could not close, so the joinery was built complete in the shop, delivered in sequence and set in a handful of overnight calls.
The room is almost entirely fluted timber. Vertical flutes run floor to ceiling and continue across the door leaves, so the doors read as part of the wall until they open, and the display niches are cut into the same run rather than applied to it.
Lighting is integrated into every shelf and reveal, driven off channels that stay accessible from the front. In a space that is photographed constantly and cleaned nightly, nothing can rely on a fixing that shows.
